Cleveland's offense was stagnant, and the Indiana Pacers had turned a five-point halftime deficit into a five-point lead entering the fourth quarter.
The Cavaliers went back to their tried-and-true formula — LeBron, LeBron and more LeBron — and it got the usual result.
James scored 10 of his season-high 40 points in the final 7:07, and Cleveland beat the Pacers 105-95 on Friday night.
I always have confidence in his shot, but that kind of sealed the game for us. -J J Hickson

As a 20-year-old last season, Boston Bruins winger Milan Lucic had a breakout season by scoring 17 goals and quickly forging a reputation as perhaps the most punishing hitter among NHL forwards.
But finger surgery has kept him scoreless and out for 14 games this year as the Bruins struggled.
Lucic returned to the lineup Thursday night in Atlanta but his real presence was felt Friday in HSBC Arena.
It used to be a cowardly move to let the other guy go in [first] and now a lot of teams treat it as a smart move because if you go in first, he puts you in the glass and gets the puck -Lindy Ruff

U.S. skier Resi Stiegler is out for the season after breaking two bones in her left leg in a crash during giant slalom training.
The U.S. Ski Team said Friday that Stiegler, a 2006 Olympian from Jackson Hole, Wyo., had surgery for fractures to her tibia and femur.
"This was a serious injury for Resi, but her spirit is strong," U.S. Ski Team medical director Richard Quincy said in a statement.

New York Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce is out indefinitely after an MRI exam on Friday surprisingly revealed a bulging disk in his neck.
The Giants said their defensive captain underwent the test in New York and was examined by team physician Dr. Russell Warren and Dr. Frank Camissa, chief of the spinal surgical services at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
The 31-year-old Pierce originally sustained a burner when the Giants played Arizona on Oct. 25.

The mother of recently separated conjoined Bangladeshi twins does not want custody of the daughters she gave up for adoption and wants them to have new lives in Australia, newspapers reported Saturday.
The twins, who turn 3 next months old, had been joined at the top of their heads and shared brain tissue and blood vessels.
They were separated Tuesday after 25 hours of delicate surgery in a Melbourne hospital and then underwent an additional six hours of reconstructive work.
I think she'd like to do that, but that's something we can't make a decision on at the moment -Margaret Smith

Last night, I offered some thoughts on what the Boston Red Sox should do to improve this offseason.
I mainly focused on what the Red Sox should do in left field if they don't re-sign free agent Jason Bay. The club has a few other areas that need to be addressed, however.

A federal air marshal who says he was seriously injured when a flight attendant deliberately smashed a beverage cart into him is suing Delta Air Lines and the crew member, a "Jane Doe" co-defendant in the suit, who allegedly preceded the attack with less forceful rammings and warnings that he and a fellow air marshal should "stay out of my way."
He has since been unable to return to duty and is now working at a desk for a much lower salary, said attorney John A.B. Ayoub of Ayoub & Mansour , who ...
